{"id":497,"date":"2023-07-24T18:52:17","date_gmt":"2023-07-24T15:52:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/terrau.org\/?p=497"},"modified":"2023-08-02T12:11:07","modified_gmt":"2023-08-02T09:11:07","slug":"shlyah-poranenogo-potreby-problemy-ta-bachennya-majbutnogo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/terrau.org\/en\/shlyah-poranenogo-potreby-problemy-ta-bachennya-majbutnogo\/","title":{"rendered":"The Wounded Military&#8217;s Path: What are the barriers and needs faced by wounded soldiers?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Together with our colleagues from Pryncyp NGO and Gradus Research company, we analyzed all stages of the wounded&#8217;s journey from evacuation to return to service or discharge.<\/p>\n<p>Our respondents were both military personnel and representatives of military units and medical institutions. Here are the key insights we found:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The most difficult for wounded soldiers is the level of military medical commissions: 68% of those who have encountered this stage said it was challenging.<\/li>\n<li>45% of the wounded servicemen and women report no payments, and another 32% report delays in their treatment.<\/li>\n<li>68% indicated that they were treated at their own expense or with family money, while 67% received treatment at the expense of the state, and 42% used both sources.<\/li>\n<li>A smaller share of wounded military defended their rights. Thus, 57% did not appeal decisions with which they disagreed. Half of the respondents do not believe that complaints will lead to improvements, and 36% of respondents needed legal assistance, which they cannot afford.<\/li>\n<li>Currently, the surveyed wounded military personnel feel the greatest need for medical care (60%), legal assistance (58%), and assistance with information\/explanations (52%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Barriers and needs of wounded military personnel at all stages of their journey from evacuation to return to service or discharge<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":498,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-497","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-reports"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.12 -
